VP Of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo Launches 100,000 Solar Home Systems In Jigawa [PHOTOS]

The current vice president of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo has done a great work for the people of Jangefe community in Roni Local Government Area of Jigawa state.

Earlier today, the vice president Yemi launched the deployment of over 100,000 Solar Home Systems (SHS) in the community making the people and leaders proud of him as they were very grateful indeed. He launched it under the SolarPowerNaija Programme in Nigeria.

The launching was officially unveiled in December 2020 under the Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) of the Nigerian government. The SolarPowerNaija has been designed and made to increase the rate of energy access through 5 million new solar connections, while increasing local content and new jobs in the energy sector. 

With the REA as the implementing Agency of the SolarPowerNaija Programme, this launch made by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo marks the inauguration of 100,000 connections through a commercial partnership between A-Solar (a local developer), Sterling bank as the guarantor together with the Nigerian Delta Power Holding Company  (NDPHC) working together to make it work.
