We have all come together as Nigerians and also the educational system of Nigeria has congratulated the first female Vice-chancellor of one of the best Nigerian Federal Universities FUTO.
The newly elected VC of the Federal University Of Technology Owerri (FUTO) goes to Dr. Nnenna Oti who broke the school record of being the first female Vice-chancellor of the school time.
Prof. Nnenna Oti who is said to be of the Faculty of Soil Science has broken a 41-year jinx by emerging the first ever female Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology (FUTO), Owerri, Imo State, as she beat 6 other candidates with 75.5% votes.
Nnenna Oti, graduated with First Class Honors in Soil and Environmental Science from UNN.
The professor is a native of Afikpo North in Ebonyi state. Until her appointment she was the Deputy VC Academics.
