Bartlett Promise International Scholarship Opportunity at University College London – UK
An international scholarship opportunity is available for international students who wants to pursue a degree program at The University College of London. This scholarship is scheme to applicants from Sub-Saharan Africa, launched by the Bartlett.
The Bartlett Promise aims to enable students from backgrounds which are underrepresented in The Bartlett, to pursue at The Bartlett, UCL’s Faculty of the Built Environment.
The Bartlett Promise is a long-term project to attract students from a broader range of backgrounds to tackle the lack of diversity in the built environment. The scholarships will cover students’ fees, living and study costs for the duration of their degree programmes. Recipients will also receive mentoring, personal support and careers advice throughout their studies.

Value of Award: Full overseas tuition fees, an allowance to cover living and study expenses (£15,364) for the normal duration of the programme at UCL, a flight to/from the UK, UK Study Visa costs, English language assessment costs, health test costs, master’s programme application fee costs and the NHS health supplement charge in the UK. All Promise scholars will also receive on-going academic and career support during their study.
Eligibility For The Bartlett Promise International Scholarship Opportunity at University College London – UK
- Interested candidates must be a national of one of The Bartlett’s approved list 2 of Sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries and resident in an eligible SSA country.
- Interested candidates must not hold a British or dual British citizenship.
- Interested candidates must have an offer of admission to a Bartlett master’s programme for study in 2022/23 which is either unconditional or conditional only on English language.
- Interested candidates must be in financial need as assessed by UCL 3.
